SUMMARY
Blentech Corporation in Santa Rosa, CA seeks a Start Up and Commissioning Engineer Lead I to function as the primary contact between Blentech customers and Blentech teams focusing on the start-up and commissioning and technical support once equipment is delivered to customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze data, performance metrics, and system behavior to troubleshoot technical issues that arise during the start-up and commissioning process and develop effective solutions. Ensure all systems and components meet the required specifications through testing, performance verification and quality checks. Utilize industrial auxiliary equipment including Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps, Centrifugal Pumps, PD Pumps, Heat Exchangers, Steam Ejectors, Cryogenic Systems, Hot Thermal Oil Systems, and more. Manage budgets for startup and commissioning activities to ensure projects are completed timely and within financial targets. Participate in Factor Acceptance Tests and explain technical (controls and mechanical) features to the customers. Participate in on-site installation, start-up, training, repair, and mechanical maintenance for customers. Up to 49% domestic and 21% international travel required to facilitate customer startups, deliver trainings, and perform service calls.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering or related field.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 12 months' experience as a Start-Up & Commissioning Engineer, Field Service Engineer or Chemical Engineer.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Up to 49% domestic and 21% international travel required to facilitate customer startups, deliver trainings, and perform service calls.
